Singapore activist Jolovan Wham has been found guilty of organising a public assembly without permit and refusing to sign a police document. He was charged for involving Hong Kong activist Joshua Wong in a forum over a Skype call.

The news has made Singapore the centre of attention. In a Facebook post, Wong responded that he cannot understand why the Singapore government has to be so restrictive towards its citizens. He said that the forum was held indoors and not in public, which according to him, is not enough a reason to charge Wham for.

He thinks that Singapore will only continue to restrict people's freedom and called for everyone to persevere and not back down even in the face of legal challenges.

Jolovan Wham's sentencing will be on 23 Jan.

Congratulations to us for being in the limelight again. For all the wrong reasons.
